FAQ
The questions every business asks before switching on — answered straight.
Do callers know they're talking to AI?
Your choice of introduction, but Specialists never lie: asked directly, they say yes. In practice, callers care about being helped quickly far more than about who's helping — and the awkward robot-voice era is over. Do a test call and judge for yourself.
What happens if the AI gets something wrong?
Specialists only speak from the briefing you gave them — they don't improvise prices or promises. When they don't know, they say so and book a callback (which becomes a real Task, not a hope). Every transcript is reviewable, and any wrong answer traces to a knowledge entry you can fix in one edit, permanently.
Can I keep my phone numbers?
Yes — standard porting, no downtime, callers notice nothing. You can also keep your current phone provider for humans and use CallableAI only for overflow/after-hours while you evaluate.
How long does setup actually take?
Overflow answering: under an hour. A trained Specialist you'd trust as first-line: a few days of test calls and knowledge tuning. Data connections and first campaigns: usually week two. There is no six-month implementation; there's nothing to install.
What does it cost when call volume spikes?
CallableAI plans include monthly tokens (1 token = $0.05 AUD) that AI call minutes meter against, and your lanes decide how many calls run at once — so a spike queues and buys a top-up rather than falling over. The dashboard shows usage in real time, and you can cap spend under Settings → Billing. A missed $8k job costs more than any month's top-up.
Is my data safe? Who can see it?
Your data stays yours: it isn't used to train anything outside your workspace, and access follows the roles you set. Recordings and transcripts live encrypted with configurable retention. Data connections start read-only and only write what you've explicitly allowed.
Is AI calling legal in Australia?
Outbound campaigns enforce contact hours and Do Not Call washing at the platform level — a Specialist physically can't dial outside them. Recording consent is handled per state requirements. You configure your policies once under Settings → Compliance; the platform refuses actions that would breach them.
What if I just... don't like it?
Turn it off. There's no lock-in contract on standard plans, your numbers port back out the way they ported in, and your data exports completely. The bet we're making is that a month of the missed-call report makes that unlikely.
