Quickstart

From signup to your first answered call — most businesses finish this in under an hour.

This guide gets a Specialist answering your overflow calls today. You don't need to port numbers, connect your CRM, or change anything about how your team works — those come later, when you've heard it work.

1. Create your workspace

Sign up and tell CallableAI the basics: business name, industry, opening hours, and service area. This seeds your first Specialist's knowledge — you'll refine it in a moment.

2. Get a number

Every new workspace comes with a fresh local number. Later you can port your existing numbers, but for a first test, the new number is instant.

3. Teach your Specialist

Open Specialists → Ivy → Knowledge and fill in the three sections that matter most:

  • What you do — services, products, and rough pricing. Bullet points are fine; the Specialist turns them into conversation.
  • How you book — your calendar link or booking rules (days, times, durations, buffer).
  • House rules — what it should never promise, when it must transfer to a human, and how it should introduce itself.

Use the Test call button as you go. Call the number from your mobile and try to trip it up — ask about prices, push back, change your mind. Edit the knowledge, call again. Two or three rounds is usually enough to be impressed.

4. Point some real calls at it

The lowest-risk rollout is overflow answering: your phones ring exactly as they do today, and the Specialist only picks up what nobody answers within a few rings. In Cloudphone → Routing, forward your existing number's overflow to your CallableAI number.

Nothing about a normal day changes — except the calls you used to lose stop being lost.

5. Read your first report

Tomorrow morning, open the dashboard. You'll see every call the Specialist took, its transcript, its outcome, and anything it booked. The Monday summary email arrives automatically once a week.
