What is Callable?

The five-minute mental model — CallableAI's Specialists and Tasks, and the Callable Cloudphone they share with your team.

CallableAI is an AI platform that runs the revenue side of your business: it answers and makes phone calls, works your client book, and shows you exactly what came of it.

You can think of it as two kinds of AI teammates on one phone system:

Specialists are voice agents. They talk on the phone — answering inbound calls, working through their Calling Queues, qualifying enquiries, booking appointments — and they finish their own work: CRM updated, confirmation sent, follow-up queued, before the caller has put their phone down. They hand off to humans when a conversation needs one.

Tasks are background agents running your operation. Each Task is an ongoing job you've described in plain English — find the contacts that slipped through the cracks and queue them for reactivation, report which lead sources convert best, audit the team's calls for compliance, turn customers into reviews and reviews into referrals. Tasks run on triggers, touch only the systems you've permitted, and log every run so you can see exactly what happened, like a routine you can audit.

To you, both are the same thing: CallableAI doing the work. Together they make up the CallableAI workspace — one of CallableAI's two products.

The other is CallableCloudphone — a full business phone system for your human team in its own right: numbers, seats, hunt groups, AutoDial, AI routing, on-call insights. It stands alone as a product, and it's also the telephony layer your Specialists work on. That's deliberate: humans and AI teammates share the same lines and the same scoreboard, so you stop thinking of them as two teams. One team, one number, one scoreboard.

The loop

Everything in CallableAI is one loop, running continuously:

  1. A call happens — inbound from a client, or queued by a Task.
  2. A Specialist handles it end to end — answers, qualifies, books, updates the CRM, sends the confirmation, queues its own follow-up.
  3. Tasks work the bigger picture — mining the data, allocating leads, auditing calls, finding the next opportunities and queueing them up.
  4. Analytics record it — the call, the outcome, and the dollars land on your dashboard.

The loop runs whether you're watching or not. That's the point.
