Launch an outbound campaign
Lists in, booked conversations out — with compliance handled by the platform, not by memory.
An outbound campaign points Specialists at a list with a goal: book a meeting, revive a quote, invite a lapsed customer back. Here's the anatomy of a campaign that performs.
1. Choose the list
Campaigns run on segments — saved audience definitions from your connected data. Start with the warmest list you own, not the coldest one you can buy:
- Open quotes with no reply (highest intent you have)
- Past customers, no activity in 6+ months
- Leads that enquired but never booked
Tasks automatically dedupe the segment, wash it against Do Not Call requirements, and skip anyone with an active conversation elsewhere in the platform.
Don't have a database yet? You don't need one. CallableAI partners with nationwide data brokers and can facilitate a data purchase through verified channels — describe the audience you want, and the list arrives in your workspace as a segment, washed and campaign-ready like any other.
2. Set the goal and script
Every campaign has exactly one goal — book a site visit, revive the quote, confirm attendance. One goal keeps the Specialist's behaviour sharp and makes results measurable.
The script isn't a word-for-word read; it's a frame: the opener, the reason for calling, the two or three qualifying questions, the close, and the objection notes. Write it like you'd coach your best rep, then use test calls to hear it.
3. Set the cadence
Under Campaign → Cadence, define the rhythm:
- Call windows — e.g. weekdays 9:30–11:30am and 2–5pm. The platform enforces legal contact hours; your windows can only narrow them.
- Attempts — how many tries per contact (3 is a sensible default) and spacing between them.
- Between-attempt actions — voicemail on attempt 2? SMS after a second no-answer? These are Tasks attached to the cadence.
4. Launch small, then scale
Start with 50–100 contacts. Within a day you'll have connect rates, conversation transcripts, and early outcomes. Read ten transcripts before touching anything — then tune the script, not the goal, and scale the segment up.
Reading campaign results
The campaign dashboard tracks the funnel: dialled → connected → conversation → goal. Benchmarks vary wildly by list warmth, but movement between stages tells you what to fix — low connect rates are a list/timing problem; low conversation-to-goal is a script problem. Cost per outcome is computed automatically, so you can compare a campaign against what you pay for the same result in ad spend.
