Warm transfer
A warm transfer is a call handover where the person receiving the call is briefed before they take it. In an AI voice context, the agent stays on the line, tells the human colleague who is calling and what the call is about, and then connects them — so the caller does not have to repeat themselves. A cold transfer, by contrast, simply routes the call through with no context.
